The Robert Burns Supper

Every year we attend the Scottish Society of Greater Bloomington's Annual Robert Burns Supper to celebrate the birth of Scotland's most famous bard. Each year Scots from all over the world both in Scotland and abroad celebrate Robert Burns with a supper where we address a haggis, the lads, the ladies and the whisky. Many of Burn's poems are recited and everyone dresses in Scottish attire...and yes, "Real men wear kilts!". At the end of the evening we sing one of Burn's most popular songs, "Auld Lang Syne", a celebratory tune that would undoubtedly make him proud. Burns gave Scotland a voice and a sense of reasoning that inspire all to recapture what it is/was to be truly Scottish.
